As the Director of Communications, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and executing the organization's messaging and outreach efforts in alignment with AAI's strategic objectives. You will collaborate closely with AAI staff, AAI members, volunteer leaders, vendors, designated committees, and other stakeholders to enhance member benefits and services, ultimately meeting evolving member needs. This position reports to the Chief Membership & Engagement Officer and manages two direct reports.
Qualified candidates offer:
Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, journalism, or a related field (or equivalent)
7 years of experience in a management role within a professional association
5 years in a director or senior-level administrative management role
Supervisory experience that includes developing team members
Experience working with contractors and vendors
Experience in science, STEM, and/or medical communications preferred
