ASAE helps associations, and the professionals who lead, manage, and work in them, transform society through the power of collaboration. We are looking for someone to join our team as the Creative Services Director. The Creative Services Director plays a critical role in defining the visual identity for ASAE. This role is responsible for executing on a wide range of digital projects that align with the creative strategy and help to communicate the visual expression of the organization.
This role will report directly to the VP, Strategic Marketing, and work closely alongside the ASAE marketing managers.
Essential Functions:
Work with VP of Marketing to establish consistent branding across all ASAE products and services.
Manage all creative requests, executing design projects and overseeing a team of freelance graphic designers as needed.
Work closely with marketing and product teams to develop campaigns that speak to the audiences’ needs and motivations, while maintaining ASAE brand alignment.
Manage intake of creative requests, communicating with internal stakeholders and delegating to freelance team where needed.
Develop and manage a digital marketing department central calendar
Essential Skills:
Can digest creative briefs and translate written materials into creative, unique graphic solutions that deliver an engaging experience across multiple media, including digital, print, and signage.
Has a strong background in design for digital media, such as paid advertising, website design, and social media.
Has high level of proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite applications.
Easily manages multiple projects under tight deadlines, demonstrating solid time management and prioritization skills with strong attention to detail.
Has experience successfully working with staff and partners who are not designers, translating their requirements into compelling art direction and design that meets their needs, while also staying true to design best practices.
Maintains awareness of design and technology trends, and regularly monitors competitor brands, to help ASAE gain an advantage through high quality creative.
Develops and manages project timelines, workloads, and marketing managers to keep things on track.
Required Education and Experience:
8+ years of experience, with proven leadership capabilities.
Intensive study in graphic design and art programs. BFA, BA degree preferred.
Experience with animation and motion design is a must.
Must provide portfolio of work to be considered.
Preferred Education and Experience
Formal desktop design training preferred.
