The Member Relations Coordinator will be responsible for building a strong relationship with WAI members of all types by providing extraordinary member service, maintaining quality data in the WAI Association Management System (AMS) and executing membership programs to optimize member retention and new member signup rates.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The Member Relations Coordinator will:
Achieve expert level proficiency in the Novi Association Management System (AMS) system to:
Develop and implement processes and routines to ensure the integrity (accuracy, consistency and completeness) of membership data in the AMS
Minimize duplication of records
Minimize return rates on mailed collateral
Optimize timely, successful communication with members
Efficiently and effectively process new and renewal memberships of all types in the AMS
Oversee effective and accurate renewal communications and follow-up
Create and manage custom reports for leadership, staff, and communications
Implement membership communication automations
Assist with development, implementation and continuous improvement of new membership campaigns, membership retention programs, membership engagement programs, and other membership programs
Provide support for WAI HQ phones, WAI membership, WAI HQ email, and other inbound membership communications
Support Annual WAI Conference as necessary
Support WAI staff relative to the AMS and membership reports/statistics
Think strategically and tactically to develop solutions to challenges, develop or improve processes and routines, and anticipate opportunities to improve member services to the WAI membership
Other tasks and items as determined necessary
QUALIFICATIONS
Bachelors degree from an accredited university in business or similar
Computer skills to include proficiency in MS Word, Excel, Outlook and familiar with basic data base formats and data entry efficiency. Knowledge of relational databases or Association/Customer Management Systems a plus. Knowledge of MailChimp or other email services a plus
Ability and willingness to learn and implement tools and technology to achieve objectives
Flexible, adaptable and upbeat to provide an excellent membership experience and maintain a strong relationship withing the WAI team
Strong interpersonal skills and customer service experience
