The Business Development Associate works with the Director, Business Development, and the Business Development and Membership team to pursue, secure and manage client relationships, which increase CADCA’s industry footprint, support CADCA’s mission, and obtain revenue.
Specific Duties
Willingness to familiarize yourself with the company’s vision and mission, seeking to accomplish set goals and objectives
Research industries (companies, foundations, government) to identify synergies between potential new partners and CADCA’s mission
Research events, networking opportunities, trainings, and conferences; share relevant information with Business Development Team
Assist and lead on several aspects of the annual Drug-Free Kids Campaign (silent auction, co-chair meeting, mailings, and other duties)
Contact potential partners to establish rapport and arrange meetings
Cultivating strong relationships with new clients while maintaining existing client relationships
Work with the Business Development team to grow and manage CADCA’s partner pipeline, including corporations, businesses, foundations, and individuals
Serve as a liaison to external partners, including representing CADCA at national, regional, and local meetings
Work with the Business Development team and other CADCA departments to ensure project deliverables are being managed effectively and deliverables are achieved according to project contracts
Work with the Business Development Team to secure support for CADCA’s annual campaigns and events, including the Drug-Free Kids Campaign Awards Dinner, the National Leadership Forum, and the Mid-Year Training Institute
Ability to manage multiple projects concurrently and meet deadlines
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills with the ability to engage effectively with various levels of management, staff, and clients
Manage Business Development content on CADCA’s website
Assist with special projects
Work with CADCA’s IT department and assist in the implementation of a new CRM database
Participate in the Business Development and Membership team’s short and long-term strategic planning
Other duties as assigned
Experience with online meeting software (Zoom, MS Teams, WebEx, etc.)
