POSITION OVERVIEW
The Manager, Corporate Relations will develop and execute strategies to cultivate and secure corporate support for the Partnership; track progress against fundraising goals; and serve as a liaison to program teams regarding their funding needs.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Work closely with the Director, Corporate Relations and Senior Manager, Strategic Development to develop an annual corporate fundraising plan to include funding prospects and target amounts that align with Partnership priorities. Additionally, they play an integral role in monitoring and reporting on the corporate budget.
Work with program team leads to develop funding strategies and build pipelines of support for specific areas of work, including federal recruiting and hiring and the federal customer experience.
Serve as the relationship owner for a portfolio of 10-12 corporate partners.
Develop proposals, presentations and other materials in support of corporate solicitations, in close collaboration with the organization’s executives, management team, program teams and volunteers.
Maintain productive, customer-focused relationships with key corporate contacts.
Lead fundraising strategy and benefits fulfillment for the Service to America Medals (Sammies).
Conduct targeted outreach, in coordination with the organization’s executives, management team, program teams and volunteers, to actively grow support for the Sammies program.
Coordinate with the Partnership’s Events Team to represent corporate sponsor interests throughout the event planning and execution.
Provide input on program and gala activities to ensure best experience for corporate sponsors and their guests.
Act as a thought partner to program teams to align proposed work to Partnership priorities, mitigate risks and ensure corporate agreement requirements are met.
Maintain corporate contact and prospect information in Salesforce and ensure meeting notes and other information is captured in the system.
Work with legal counsel and accounting to ensure that corporate sponsorship agreements are developed and executed, invoices are generated, and funds are received in a timely manner.

As a member of the Development team, the Manager will:
Contribute to cross-organizational efforts, as needed.
Work in cooperation with the Director, Corporate Relations and Senior Manager, Strategic Development to develop a long-term plan for corporate revenue growth.
Seek out training opportunities that support professional growth and align with an annual performance management plan.

REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
A minimum of five years of progressively responsible work experience, including at least two years in developing corporate partnerships and securing corporate sponsorships ranging from $25K - $100K+.
Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent professional work or military experience.
Familiarity with and commitment to using donor relationship management systems; knowledge of Salesforce is preferred.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITY/REPORTING STRUCTURE
This position reports to the Director, Corporate Relations.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
This job operates in a hybrid (remote + office) environment in Washington, DC, and requires the candidate to be a permanent resident in the Washington, DC, Maryland or Virginia area. In assessing employee performance at the Partnership, we consider collaboration, results, demonstration of our values and a commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility. This position requires consistent use of office equipment such as computer, telephone, printer and scanner.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position with regular work hours Monday-Friday, 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. Occasional evening or weekend activities may be required. The Partnership allows flexibility in work schedules.
TRAVEL
If travel occurs, it is usually during the business day. Some out of the area and/or overnight travel may occasionally be required.
SALARY AND BENEFITS
The starting salary for this position is $70,000 - $95,000. The Partnership offers a compensation package that includes a competitive salary; medical, dental and vision coverage; life insurance; long- and short-term disability insurance; a 401(k) program with a 4 percent employer match; opportunities for training and development; 15 days of annual leave per year, 10 days of sick leave per year, plus all federal holidays and the day after Thanksgiving off; and use of an on-site exercise facility.
