The Associate Director, Conference Services position is a high visibility role which demands exceptional customer service, organizational skills, a high level of professionalism and the willingness to go above and beyond to ensure a perfect member experience. The ability to operate independently as well as in a team setting, possessing strong attention to detail and multitasking while managing competing deadlines are all essential qualities. This position reports to the Director, Executive & Conference Services.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
Source meeting locations (primarily in hotels) using MCAA’s RFP format for meetings ranging from 10 – 300 attendees.
Provide logistical specifications to meeting venues including menu selection/creation, audio/visual equipment rental and room sets.
Travel to approximately 10 out-of-town meetings/year for successful meeting execution. Travel times range from two days to over a week depending on the conference. Travel for site visits is also required for certain meetings.
