The Manager of Instructional Design is responsible for designing and developing courses for a variety of interactive platforms and assisting with any aspect of the instructional design / instructional systems design lifecycle.
Primary duties and responsibilities:
Assists with the development, integration, and maintenance of all IET courses across multiple platforms.
Collaborates with project stakeholders to design courses, determine course requirements, and create content.
Conducts needs analysis, creates effective learning solutions, and communicates those solutions to stake holders
Produces written scripts and storyboards utilizing technical content
Performs quality control and quality assurance tests, and provides light scripting when needed
Provides course management and customer support for Digicast
Integrates legacy IET-LS courses using XML and TXT editing
Provides cross team support and performs other related duties and assignments as required.
Education, prior work experience, and specialized skills and knowledge:
Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design or related field
3-5 years of experience in course design and content creation including experience building SCORM courses
Experience and general knowledge of operating systems, servers, and databases
Ability to work with several interactive platforms
Business minded and able to produce consistent results
Comfortable working independently and being accountable
Strong verbal and presentation skills as well as strong written and script writing / story boarding skills
Ability to collaborate, problem solve, and effectively communicate solutions
Excellent project management and organizational skills
Working knowledge and experience with Adobe Creative Cloud, Articulate Rise, Articulate Storyline, Camtasia, and eLearning
Excellent attention to detail and customer service skills
