ASIS International, a professional membership organization located in Alexandria, VA with 34,000 global members, is seeking a creative and detail-oriented individual to serve as its Digital Designer.
The Digital Designer is responsible for digital design work that promotes ASIS's educational programs, global conferences, certifications, publications, membership, and other areas as required. The Designer also assists the Digital Design Director with analysis and optimization of conversion aspects of websites, emails, videos, and social media to increase member engagement.
Specific duties will include:
Conceptualizing and producing graphic design collateral across a variety of end-user platforms including desktop, mobile, and social media while closely following organization’s brand guidelines. Digital marketing materials produced include web banners, website graphics, email graphics, plus, traditional digital and print collateral: pdf publications, postcards, flyers, and advertisements.
Creating assets for online magazine website including original and stock-modified illustrations, videos, and infographics. Plus performing photo research and image optimization for the editorial team.
Working hands-on as a power-user in our website building platform to update and curate website content and optimize user engagement and experience. Creating new articles and web landing pages while implementing best SEO and UX practices.
Creating and sending HTML emails using our online email marketing platform. Work closely with editorial and marketing stakeholders to test, trouble shoot, and ensure quality that are branded to ASIS International’s style.
Researching industry trends and comparing current performance data to conceptualize and identify new opportunities that increase profitability through the online channels. Generate analytic reports that visualize data in a clear and concise fashion.
The most successful candidate will possess:
Bachelor of Arts degree in design or digital marketing, with 2-4 years of digital design, UX, or digital marketing experience, or some combination.
UX design and/or SEO certification with 4+ years related experience, including digital/Web-based marketing and/or publishing, and a strong interest or exposure to the use of digital optimization tools (e.g., SEO) is highly desired.
Good communication and writing skills to explain concepts and analytics to marketing and editorial staff. Ability to present data in a visually comprehensive manner.
Expertise using Adobe Creative Suite, working knowledge of Google Analytics and Content Management Systems, and basic understanding MS Word, PowerPoint, and Excel. Advanced knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite, including Adobe Dreamweaver and Premiere as well as HTML familiarity preferred.
