Training Coordinator

We are seeking a Training Coordinator in our Bowie, MD office. You will be responsible for coordinating training classes (on-site & virtual) for the International Association of Arson Investigators (IAAI). This is not a teaching position. Must have association meeting planning experience.

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Maintain and support all training programs through effective planning, preparation, execution, and evaluation.
• Organize, schedule, and track training events
• Coordinate content, communication, and engagement
• Project manage the training activities by utilizing MemberSuite to schedule classes and materials, tracking course participation, completion, and course evaluations

Competencies and Job Requirements:

• Two years of association meeting planning
• Strong knowledge and adaptability to software applications
• Effective planning, organization, communication, and financial reporting
• Problem-solver with attention to detail
• Strong oral and written communication skills with the ability to interact at all levels
• Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
• Self-motivated, independent worker, and team player
• Ability to quickly adapt to new software programs
• Familiarity with AMS databases (MemberSuite preferred)
• Proficient in MS Office applications, especially Outlook, Word, Excel,  PowerPoint, and Adobe Acrobat Professional
• Consistently at work and on time
• Ability to work past scheduled hours if needed
• Able to travel up to seven days two times per year, plus additional travel as needed
• Bachelor's Degree preferred
• Sense of humor

Compensation and Benefits:

• Salary: Negotiable, based upon experience

• Office Hours: 8:30 am – 5:00 pm, Monday-Friday
