The International Association for the Study of Lung Cancer (IASLC) is the premier international membership association for physicians, researchers, and medical professionals, who are dedicated to conquering lung and thoracic cancers globally. We are seeking a Conference Coordinator with technical and organizational skills to work collaboratively with our Conferences team to produce in-person and hybrid medical conferences.
Day to day, the Conference Coordinator provides a variety of administrative, logistical, and technical support for several domestic and international conferences each year. The position requires extensive internal and external customer service, organizational and time management skills, attention to detail, as well as excellent interpersonal and written communication.
This full-time, nonsupervisory position reports to the Associate Director, Conferences and is based at our downtown Denver office on a hybrid work schedule.
In this role, you will:
Provide administrative support for conference and event logistics, ranging from planning to execution.
Build and maintain events in the Fonteva association management system (AMS) and manage conference registrations.
Schedule conference calls via Zoom and Teams for the Conferences department.
Deliver responsive customer service to all stakeholders.
Correspond with delegates, faculty, and vendors and provide timely responses to conference inquiries.
Ensure that conference deliverables are accurate and meet planning deadlines.
Maintain organized, complete records and files for the Conferences department.
Provide on-site logistical support for conferences as required.
Travel to national and international meeting sites as required (up to 10%).
Actively demonstrate and support IASLC core values.
Perform other projects and duties as assigned.

Compensation: $52,000-60,000 annually, depending on related experience.

A successful candidate will have the following qualifications:
A deep commitment to the mission of the IASLC and compassion for those living with a lung cancer diagnosis.
Bachelor’s degree
1-2 years of administrative experience in an office setting or conference planning work.
Strong written and oral communication skills; ability to communicate professionally and collaborate effectively across all levels of the organization.
Customer service mindset with ability to anticipate needs and work calmly and effectively under tight timelines.
Ability to balance multiple deadlines, coordinate detailed logistics, and work independently to complete assignments.
Excellent technical aptitude including proficiency in all Microsoft Office suite and other software packages, as applicable, with the ability to quickly learn and implement new software.
Previous work experience in a professional association or international context preferred
Multilingual fluency/literacy would be a plus
