Purpose of Position:
To manage and raise funds for AdvaMed’s political program, ensuring it remains compliant with federal regulations, and to organize industry specific fundraisers for candidates for federal office.
Essential Duties of Position:
Day-to-day administration and management of the AdvaMedPAC
Plans and prepares content for PAC solicitations
Completes and files FEC reports; responsible for all activities, filings, reporting, and records of the PAC to ensure FEC compliance
Corresponds with political campaigns to ensure contributions are delivered and to establish relationships
Works towards achieving goals for growth of the AdvaMedPAC
Plans and organizes industry fund raisers and ensures that they are well-attended and meet the expected goal of the honoree
Attends all fund-raising events in-person
Supports the AdvaMedPAC chairman in organizing Board meetings and fly-ins, preparing presentations, and other activities as needed
Maintains AdvaMedPAC’s donor program
Keeps accurate PAC records, including cash flow and contribution records
Manages/supervises compliance consultant
Works with PAC managers for member companies to advance industry goals
Hybrid Work Policy: Minimum 1 day onsite per week
Travel Requirements: 5%
Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Substantive knowledge of FEC reporting, filing, and other regulatory requirements
Ability to work effectively with FEC reporting and accounting software programs and consultants
Incredible attention to detail and deadlines
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Strong problem-solving skills; creative thinker
Advanced skills in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and PAC software, such as PACBuilder
Proven ability to work with a relational database
Specifications:
Minimum Education Required: Bachelor’s degree
Minimum Experience Required: 6+ years related work experience. Prior direct experience in PAC or political fundraising essential
