The Director, Education will work with various Association clients to provide support and leadership to the Associations education department and overall organizational strategies. This role will lead association education departments and will have supervisory responsibilities. Core job responsibilities require strong professional customer service, team work, project management, organizational skills, ability to multi-task, have a keen eye for details, creative thinking and problem solving.
In this role, you will be required to:
Develop and implement adult education strategy and offerings, using best value/latest available technology
Develop program budgets for all educational offerings
Monitor performance against budget and assures course correction as needed
Conduct review and analysis of data associated with all education, training, and professional development activities toward maximizing benefit to members and prospects
Oversee all virtual education offerings and evolve with board strategy
Work cohesively with other Association departments to ensure all deliverables are met
Maintain Association/Course Textbooks and oversee all necessary updates
Develop and manage all contracts associated with the education, training, and professional development
Expand relationships within the instructor community and engage new partnerships
Review and certify education, training, and professional development invoices and provides them to the Financial Operations Manager for payment
Work with membership and industry leaders to create a platform for Association to encourage and leverage thought leadership
Ensure NASBA (https://nasba.org/) and ACE accreditation (https://www.acenet.edu/Pages/default.aspx ) is maintained
Manage communication and enforce standards in Association delivered courses and partner delivered courses
Attend board meetings to offer strategic insight on Education and Professional Development opportunities to maximize revenue
Attend weekly staff meeting
Work with other Association staff regarding roles relevant to the education programs such as graphics, communications/PR and membership related initiatives, as needed
Manage overall relationship with Third party education providers:
Coordinate education training schedule
Ensure standards are being maintained
Oversee the invoice process and management of attendee lists and communication
Work with Certification department to cross reference success rates
In conjunction with Event Team and Vendors, support the Conference strategy and agenda
Engage Chapter Education Chairs to increase participation in educational offerings
Database & Internal Support:
Responsible for understanding the established SOP’s for IMN client accounts.
Ensure all account data is maintained in IMN’s CRM in a timely and efficient manner
Create and maintain client information electronically
Work in a highly collaborative team environment
Opportunity to manage direct reports and/or project team reports
Train, oversee and prioritize the work of project teams

Requirements:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
5+ Years in Association Management and Education
Strong knowledge in adult learning initiatives
Proficient in Microsoft Office; Adobe Acrobat; database management, Association Management Systems (AMS), Learning Management Systems (LMS); Knowledge in SmartSheet and HubSpot a plus
Attention to detail; organization skills; ability to multi-task; interpersonal communication; strong project management skills, strategic and analytic thinking are essential
This position will require travel to client meetings and will be required to be in the Alexandria, VA office one to two times per month (no more than 4 total days per month)
Candidate must be able to work independently from their home and provide a professional setting from which to conduct video and telephone calls
