Job Responsibilities:
The Manager, Advisory Committee on Annual Meetings & Volunteers manages the (volunteer) Advisory Committee on Annual Meetings (CAM) in conjunction with the senior director, Continuing Education and Advisory Committee on Annual Meetings by developing agendas, reports, minutes, and managing communications and complex administrative support throughout the year, inclusive of budgeting and monthly tracking of expenses. Responsible for logistical pre-planning and onsite management of CAM Meetings. Manages the planning and execution of the activities of the Committee on Local Arrangements (CLA) and scouting. Provides complex organizational and administrative support to senior director, Continuing Education, and Advisory Committee on Annual Meetings.
This position is subject to funding and annual renewal; funded by JCNDE R & D budget 240269.
Must Have:
- Bachelor's degree
- A minimum of 5 years in/with progressive administrative support and volunteer management and execution of committee meetings. In lieu of a degree, 9 years of related work experience is required.
- Experience in working with volunteer committees and preparing reports and minutes.
- Excellent multi-tasking, written and verbal communication, and organizational skills with the ability to consistently meet deadlines and attention to detail.
- Knowledge of basic agreement/contract review, committee meeting execution, budgeting, and tracking.
- Familiarity with meeting planning and how a board, committee, or council operates.
- Ability to work with many different levels within the organization and inclusive of direct contact with C-suite and upper management.
- Ability to work independently, multi-task, and meet tight deadlines while being detail-minded.
- Ability to be discreet in handling sensitive information, professional, diplomatic and congenial.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to travel frequently for meetings.
