The Chapter Coordinator is responsible for providing day-to-day support to ACC’s 60+ local chapters that represent over 45,000 in-house counsel worldwide. A partial list of duties and responsibilities include:
Tracks key chapter activities including leadership updates, educational programs, social events, board of directors’ meetings, chapter visits, resources and other program segments as requested. Provides reports as requested. Provides senior staff key information and talking points in preparation for chapter meetings.
Serves as an initial point of contact for chapter leaders and administrators.
Oversees chapter websites; updates when necessary, including updating leadership and event information, uploading program materials, etc. Creates training tutorials, including videos. Works with chapters to improve content. Provide stats to chapters on webpage hits.
Supports the chapter team with meeting preparation for chapter leadership training (twice per year) and annual chapter administrator training.
Assists chapters by creating member surveys, providing customized reports, and fulfilling other requests for information.
Conducts orientation training for new chapter administrators on the use of website, as well as ongoing training for administrators and chapter leaders on various technology offered by ACC, including event management, CMS, webcasts, and online newsletters.
Manages and coordinates chapter PDF newsletter on a quarterly basis.
Maintains the chapters inbox and respond to chapter phone calls, emails, and other digital media inquiries.
What We Need From You
At a minimum an Associate Degree.
Significant 1-year experience working with volunteers in an association or other environment.
Capable of managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment, and the ability to work independently with minimal direct supervision and prioritize tasks.
Computer proficiency in MS Office Suite/Outlook, database management, social media, event and marketing platforms, graphic design tools and website content management system.
Superb oral and written communication skills, and adeptness at learning new technology.
Able to demonstrate good judgment; critical thinking skills; and a sense of teamwork and community.
Highly organized with the ability to multi-task, coordinate, and work effectively across functions.
Self-starter with ability to work independently but demonstrates good judgment to inform and/or seek guidance of superiors as situations may warrant.
Excellent interpersonal and cross-cultural skills with the ability to work with culturally different constituencies and personalities.
