Location: ASA headquarters in Itasca, Illinois (Northwest suburban Chicago).
Overview:
The American Supply Association is currently seeking a marketing oriented individual to drive the association’s effort to build brand awareness and attract career seekers to the plumbing, heating, cooling, pipe valve and fittings industry. This position will lead efforts to develop and execute a marketing and communication campaign to assist members in their ability to connect with potential job seekers who are driven to them through the association’s career portal. This individual will work with association volunteers and other key stakeholders in developing and delivering career content, programs, and member-facing marketing to attract talent.
Specific Responsibilities:
Work with volunteers and association advertising firms to expand and implement the marketing and communication strategy to bring greater awareness of the exciting careers within the industry.
Create and execute efforts to engage members in the recruitment process as well as utilization of the tools developed to support these efforts.
Recommend best practices for members to improve their firms visibility, look-and-feel, and reach of their websites to increase job seeker interest.
Track, monitor, and increase usage of the ASA Careers Portal & Recruiter Toolbox, both for job seekers, as well as ASA member companies seeking job candidates.
Work with external vendors to guide and curate high-value recruitment resources to support member efforts to attract and retain top talent.
Develop and deploy SEO strategies to improve the reach of the ASA Careers Portal.
Conduct research and gain feedback on member recruitment pain-points, needs, industry trends, and best practices to better inform careers efforts by ASA.
Stay abreast of current developments in recruitment, including job trends, job seeker requirements, and apply best practices.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communication, or equivalent experience.
3 plus years of demonstrated experience in creating recruitment efforts
Computer literate in Microsoft Office Suite.
Innovative and energetic self-starter; fast learner with the ability to multi-task.
Attention to detail, superior organizational skills, and high degree in accuracy in task completion.
Able to work independently with some direction.
Professional and friendly manner while supporting ASA team members and the membership at large.
First-rate grammar and writing skills.
Association experience a plus.
