The Marketing & Communications Manager will be responsible for providing the AVP of Marketing & Communications with marketing support, including the creation and execution of traditional and digital marketing, communication campaigns, and development of content. The candidate will be detail oriented, creative, analytical and able to work at a fast pace under tight deadlines. The candidate should have proven experience developing and launching integrated marketing campaigns to promote an organization’s programs and services. Strong knowledge and experience with online content standards, technologies, and tools (association management systems and email marketing platforms) required. Search engine optimization experience a plus. Excellent writing, presentation, and proofreading skills required. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills are essential. Must be team oriented and able to handle multiple projects concurrently. Work in conjunction with the AVP, Marketing & Communications and our Education teams to implement ideas that elevate our training assets and enhance member participation. This is an exempt, full-time, work-from-home position, reporting to the AVP of Marketing & Communications.
Key Responsibilities
Email Marketing:
Execute email marketing campaigns and assist in the development of automated campaigns (i.e.: Marketing Cloud Journeys).
Produce, write, layout and deploy daily marketing emails using AP writing style.
Assist in design and production of various email communications. Report on effectiveness and suggest enhancements.
Create and maintain marketing lists.
Maintain the email schedule.
Keep current with emerging marketing, trends and technologies.
Develop and build email templates and creative assets for email communications.
Measure and report email campaign effectiveness.
Social media management:
Create content and develop templates and creative assets for social media postings.
Manage the execution and scheduling of social media posts.
Review social media strategy and provide input on new tools and resources.
Measure effectiveness of social media campaigns/posts and report results.
Recommend additional social media platform for content placement.
Work with graphic designer to develop and design engaging imagery to support digital communications, ads and print collateral promoting programs, products, and events.
Assist with updating and maintaining Wespay’s website. www.wespay.org
Leverage analytics and reporting tools to track digital engagement/utilization and provide (Google Analytics, Marketing Cloud Data, Social Media data) recommendations for future strategies.
Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, communications, or related field.
Three to five plus years of experience in digital marketing.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Strong proficiency in email marketing and social media management platforms.
Proficiency in MS Office (MS Outlook, MS Word, MS Excel PowerPoint), email marketing platforms Email Studio), AMS software (Nimble), social media, and analytics tools (Hootsuite, Google Analytics, etc.)
Understanding of style guidelines and a strong eye for editing and proofing.
