The Director of Finance is responsible for oversight of the day-to-day financial operations of an active non-profit serving the entertainment design and technology industry. The person works closely with the Executive Director to ensure that USITT maintains fiscal responsibility and transparent financial reporting while aggressively pursuing our mission.
The next Director of Finance will have many of the following qualities and skills:
Knowledge of non-profit accounting and GAAP with 5+ years of experience
Ability to produce monthly and quarterly financial reports for the Finance Committee and Board
A strong understanding and commitment to separation of duties
Familiarity with SAGE Accounting and Salesforce
Comfortable exploring how to utilize existing systems to their potential
Works collaboratively with staff and volunteer leadership to achieve Institute goals
Commitment to high levels of customer service
This position is available for remote employment for those not seeking to relocate, though periodic trips to the national headquarters in upstate New York will be required. Additional travel is required to the Annual Conference each spring and board meetings when held in-person.
Start date is mid to late September to include overlap with current Director who departs at the end of October.
Salary for the position begins in the upper 60’s and may be negotiated based on experience. Benefits include medical, dental, 403B with employer match.
