IDSA has an opening for a Membership Manager who prides themselves in growing and retaining a membership community through both their sales and marketing prowess and superb customer service skills. You are tireless in your pursuit of these goals and will maintain a strong focus on data analysis to maximize all available opportunities. As Membership Manager you will recommend and develop successful membership strategies and tactics and rely on your communication skills to articulate a compelling value proposition to members and prospects.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities
Owns the entire membership experience: join, renewal, service delivery, etc.
Embraces a continuous improvement philosophy; responds to member needs and requests promptly, accurately and with a positive attitude.
Recommend, develop, and execute membership strategies to drive aggressive membership goals for growth and retention.
Takes an experimental approach to membership marketing. Collaborates with IDSA’s Senior Communications Manager to develop successful marketing campaigns (e.g., paid advertising, lead generation, etc.). Tests, tracks and measures success of each campaign.
Embraces data analysis and research to understand member needs, personas/segments and career journeys; analyzes market trends, identifies new markets.
Works closely with the entire IDSA team to develop, implement, and launch new membership programs.
Use IDSA’s Association Management Software platform to sign up new members, process payments, run reports, access member data and analyze trends.
Manage and maintain accurate data sets (email / contact lists, financial records, event histories) to ensure that IDSA is working off the most current and error-free information
Prepare and present regular reports to leadership and staff about membership status and what actions are being taken to strengthen the program.
Periodic domestic travel to meet with community members and/or assist in the production of conferences / events

Proficiency with group meeting / conferencing tools such as Gotomeeting, BlueJeans, Join.me, Zoom.
Proficiency with remote collaboration tools such as Slack, Miro, Asana or Trello.
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, project management, communications or related field from accredited university or institution.
Minimum 5 years of relevant professional experience.
Prior association experience is a plus.
Knowledge of, and appreciation for, design and/or other creative professions is a plus.
Telecommuting is allowed.
