Collaborating with other AWWA business partners, our Director-Marketing, Business and Donor Development is responsible for the planning, development and implementation of the Association’s integrated, synchronized, multi-channel marketing and sales strategy with a goal of growing revenue and net profitability of the Association’s products, programs, and services. You’ll also have the opportunity to oversee the activities of AWWA’s philanthropic arm – the Water Equation.
As the leader of our newly integrated sales and marketing teams, your role is multi-faceted:
Develop effective strategies, methods, and structure to achieve revenue and expense goals and coach staff to execute strategies, methods, and structure effectively
Identify and develop new sources of AWWA revenue
Serve as AWWA brand champion and protect and maximize our brand across all endeavors and market
Review all digital platforms in coordination with the Communications department and manage, track and coordinate/determine best protocols for social media marketing and AWWA website effectiveness
Qualifications include:
Master’s degree in marketing, communications or related discipline or an equivalent combination of education and work experience in related area required
Minimum of ten (10) years’ experience in sales and marketing management required to include hand’s on experience with strategy development, execution and measurement
At least 5 years’ senior level business development experience
Minimum of five (5) years’ experience exercising full management responsibility for direct reports
Proficiency in MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
Candidate should demonstrate strong relationship building skills for building and sustaining effective partnerships across departments.
Compensation dependent upon qualifications; targeted hiring range of $130k-$150k and is paired with comprehensive benefits package that includes:
