We are looking for an inspired and creative individual to join our team. The position directs all aspects of member engagement for the association including recruitment of new members, retention of existing members, communication, coordination of membership events and planning of educational opportunities.
The Communication & Membership Engagement Director will be expected to develop, plan, and implement new procedures and methods to achieve strategic goals. They must plan, organize, and direct the association’s communications strategies and public information activities.

Bachelor's degree in related field preferred or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Individual should have initiative and be able to find creative solutions to opportunities.
Excellent computer skills and experience with standard business software.
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite software.
Experience with the creation of video content.
Must have good interpersonal, public relations and communications skills, including the ability to make presentations.
Ability to travel within the region.
Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
Communications
Under the direction of CEO and VP, Member Services, create and manage the development and implementation of an integrated marketing and communications plan, supporting the Association’s strategic plan.
Develop and manage media relations and public relations including the maintenance of important relationships and development of key messages. Pro-actively place strategic news stories that communicate the association’s messages, in significant media outlets including social media.
Research, write, edit and publish releases, alerts, statements, articles, and other materials in support of the Association’s brand/mission. Manage the approval process for all.
Coordinates and produces a monthly newsletter, including development of content and advertising.

Produces and coordinates promotion before and after all RASCW meetings, programs, events and community involvement activities.
Produces branded materials as needed.
Engagement
Develop a plan to maintain a member-focused culture and model relationship building in all skills and interactions. Fosters a climate of innovation and resolves problems to ensure member satisfaction.
Outreach to members and offices with a goal to build relationships and ultimately recruit and train new volunteers as needed for committees, education, and other association objectives.
Coordinates program registration, including logistics to support phone, walk-in and web registration. Coordinates with marketing efforts to maximize enrollments and provides ongoing support to other association programs.
Receive feedback from membership, both in person, but also through Membership Surveys.
Liaison to Committees & Chapters
Position requires preparation of committee agendas in coordination with chairs, attendance at meetings, and preparation of meeting minutes. Coordination and promotion of events and programs including establishing sponsors and supplying technology as needed.
