In this role you will set the strategy and oversee programs and engagement opportunities that will help members make connections, build leadership skills, create outstanding programs and feel valued. The ideal candidate is a relationship builder, strategic thinker and project manager extraordinaire. This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with volunteers and prefers owning initiatives from end to end.

What you will do
Serve as the primary point of contact for Divisions, Sections and Common Interest Groups, providing strategic leadership and oversight.
Provide strategic direction and oversight for the awards and recognition programs.
Develop and implement a robust volunteer program including development of processes for cultivating, orientating, developing and recognizing elected and appointed volunteers.
Build, maintain and report out on a master schedule of events for all membership projects to ensure that the team is meeting deadlines and outlined performance measures.
Actively support a cross-functional team focused on providing a high level of member and customer service to ensure a positive experience for all, both externally and internally.
Develop and oversee budgets for all member communities.
Leverage the Society’s online community to support and encourage the grow of Divisions, Sections and Common Interest Groups.
Support the strategic goals of the Society through the development and execution of the membership recruitment and retention programs.
Characteristic duties and responsibilities
Build relationships with member leaders from around the world and support their efforts as volunteer leaders.
Create, manage and oversee the development of project management plans for programs and activities from the member communities and work across departments, internally, to meet all deadlines.
Excellent problem solving, documentation and communication skills.
Provide oversight and direction for member communities related to awards, content development, newsletter production, online event planning and more.
Leverage data and analytical tools to identify trends that support new and improved program development, focusing on data from all other internal sources and environmental scans.
Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, handle and prioritize simultaneous requests and with great attention to detail.
Organize and lead positive online meetings of committees and groups to meet desired outcomes.
Conduct other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree preferred in Business, Project Management or Program Management
Project Management Certification preferred
Microsoft Office suite proficiency required
Strong AMS skills and knowledge; Personify knowledge a plus
Experience with business intelligence software/systems (Acumen, preferred)
Strong interpersonal communication and relationship-building skills; ability to initiate and develop productive working partnerships with members
Ability to travel to conferences to represent the organization (minimum of 1 per year)
Ability to learn and master new software and online platforms
Experience with Google Suite a plus
Email marketing platform experience a plus (Real Magnet)
