DLC Solutions is seeking a Technical Sales Representative to join our team.
DLC Solutions produces educational software used for continuing education online and for in-person and virtual meetings. Our software is used by hospitals, universities, insurance companies, professional associations, and publishing companies.
The Technical Sales Representative is responsible for developing, working and closing sales leads for the EthosCE learning management system (LMS) This includes setting up and giving detailed technical demos, following-up on open questions, and taking phone calls and emails.
To be successful in this role, the Technical Sales Representative must develop a strong understanding of the continuing education market and the EthosCE learning management system. A strong candidate enjoys building relationships with customers and prospects and is very comfortable with the administration of web-based software systems.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop and work sales leads using on-site visits, virtual meetings, phone, email and automated marketing tools.
Present information about EthosCE during calls, demos and trade shows to potential customers.
Give potential customers in-person and virtual product demos and teach them about the value, features and benefits of EthosCE.
Set up and run demos using the potential customers’ own course content.
Research potential customers and adjust content of sales presentations and demos to fit the needs of the prospect.
Work with management to develop, negotiate and finalize pricing for leads.
Maintain a strong technical understanding of the features of the EthosCE learning management system.
Participate in sales meetings to share data and refine the sales process and messaging.
Report on and share sales activities and results with management.
Follow-up with customers and maintain relationships after the sale is complete.
Resolve customer complaints and questions.
Recommend changes in products by sharing feedback from sales demos, meetings and outside competitive developments.
Secondary Responsibilities
Research the market and competitor products.
Participate in the development of sales materials such as case studies and cutsheets.
Job Requirements
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Motivation and a positive attitude.
Technical aptitude and enthusiasm for web-based applications, learning management systems or continuing education technologies.
Knowledge of the sales process for software applications, especially in the healthcare and association markets.
Must have a good understanding of a “services business” in a high tech environment
Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
Must be customer service oriented and believe in teamwork, collaboration, adaptability and initiative
