Responsible for the planning, management and financial success of high-quality professional development meetings and events that meet the educational needs of the membership. Work with staff, partners and volunteers across the organization to:
Plan face-to-face and virtual meetings and events, from the contracting and agenda planning process all the way through to execution;
Manage and foster effective collaboration and coordination across departments and external partners;
Deliver face-to-face and virtual programs that provide a highly valued, relevant professional education and networking experience for domestic and international attendees;
Grow attendance and satisfaction at events;
Design and manage engaging experiences for attendees, sponsors, exhibitors and partners;
Meet financial margins.
Minimum of ten (10) years of experience in planning, negotiation, and delivering effective, relevant, and successful professional continuing education meeting and event programs globally. Healthcare industry experience highly desired.
7+ years of experience in management and supervision of professional staff and budget responsibilities of $6 million or more.
Successful experience in management and team building. Effective at setting goals and working with staff to deliver outstanding results.
Certified Meeting Professional (CMP) designation preferred.
Certified Association Executive (CAE) designation helpful.
Minimum of 4 years association experience in professional management capacity.
