This is a senior level position responsible for reinforcing the organization’s value proposition in order to retain and recruit members while working with the representatives of the organization’s grassroots chapters.
Major Duties and Responsibilities Provides primary leadership and management for all aspects of membership growth and engagement.
Manages all recruitment activities for national office.
Recruits new members and generates prospective leads utilizing necessary resources.
Identifies additional resources outside the scope of the current methods.
Heads up the creation and updating of membership and marketing materials.
Runs and reports on monthly recruitment status of National office and chapters.
Creates membership reports for reporting purposes to the Board of Directors.
Represents NUCA at trade shows and chapter events.
Assists chapter Executive Directors and stakeholders in leveraging national membership marketing initiatives.
Provides direction and support for staff supporting regional, national, local and state component membership initiatives.
Solicits and incorporates feedback from components on membership issues to ensure that policies and procedures meet their needs.
Provides membership retention and recruitment best practices and keeps abreast of association trends to provide guidance to the regional, local and state components as needed.
Serves as staff liaison to the Recruitment and Retention Committee.
A minimum of 7 years of professional experience with evidence of implementing strategies that drives membership growth. Experience with membership/component relations preferred.

Strong project management skills with ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously, effectively prioritize, and coordinate with multiple external suppliers to keep projects on schedule.
Ability to navigate situations involving multiple stakeholders, with the patience, maturity, and negotiating skills to resolve problems.
Ability to self-manage, prioritize, get things done, and drive results.
Excellent technical and database skills.
Strong internal and external communication skills, proficient in communicating with staff, board members, association members, marketing suppliers, media, and partners.
Highly detail-oriented with a willingness to work to exacting standards for accuracy and data integrity/protection.
Collaborative team player and enjoys working as part of team to accomplish the mission.
Domestic travel: 20% annually.
