Overview: The Associate Manager, Online Communications is an integral part of ASAE’s Web Strategies and Communications team. While working in the Communications department, this position interacts with team members throughout the department and organization. Successful candidates will be passionate about web and digital communications, have strong organizational and time management skills. Excellent communications skills are essential as are exposure to common web platforms such as Google Analytics. Some experience with SEO, Content Management Systems, and Association/Customer Relationship Management Systems a plus.
Helpdesk management: Assign, ensure accurate and on-time completion, and, in many cases, directly complete tickets.
Web Reporting: Work closely with the VP, Web Strategies and Communications on web analytics and reporting. Resulting reports are often shared for action throughout the organization.
App Management: Lead configuration of the organization’s event app for several major meetings per year including staff training, staff coordination, and on-site support.
Project/Account Management: Oversee medium to large projects from a project/account management perspective.
Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as team liaison on work with the marketing, Information Technology, Content Strategy, and Research/Foundation teams at ASAE.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Basic HTML and CSS skills essential for content entry into ASAE’s content management system.
Strong time and task management—the successful candidate should have good ability to prioritize multiple concurrent tasks.
Experience with mobile apps desired. No development experience required, but strong exposure to the process of configuring apps is beneficial.
Basic project and account management experience a must—including the ability to keep project plans up-to-date, document stakeholder decisions, and prioritize tasks with vendors and internal teams.
Strong attention to detail and methodological approach to quality control and assurance.
Experience with Google Analytics and basic SEO practices.
