The Executive Director will plan, manage, and implement the expansion and growth of a dynamic program to inform Catholics in the US about the amazing works of the Sisters of Mary and Venerable Father Al Schwartz in evangelization and transforming the lives of the poor. The candidate will work with our Board composed of successful business leaders and Sisters, plus our talented staff to create and meet desired growth and financial goals.
5+ years of development and management experience – CFRE certification a plus
Commitment to the mission of transforming poor children and their families into Disciples of Christ and outstanding citizens
Ability to make excellent oral and written presentations
Talent for recruiting, leading, supervising, and motivating staff joyfully
Knowledge of fundraising strategies and successful past performance
Computer capabilities and basic knowledge of financial statements and accounting
About World Villages for Children
World Villages for Children (WVC) is the US office for the international charitable works of the Sisters of Mary, a 501(c)(3) non-profit charitable organization. World Villages for Children offers truly Catholic residential care and education to the poorest of the poor in seven countries: Tanzania, Brazil, Guatemala, Honduras, Korea, Mexico, and the Philippines through 15 Girlstowns and Boystowns. The program currently serves over 22,000 impoverished children and continues to grow. Students sleep in dormitories, share meals, receive spiritual formation, formal education, vocational training, and have fun. The motto of the Sisters is to "Serve the Lord with Joy."
