The American Physical Therapy Association (APTA) is in search of a Senior Meeting Planner for the management and production of APTA's Association Combined Sections Meeting (CSM) and APTA's NEXT Conference, along with additional association meetings as assigned.
The principal functions of this position include, but are not limited to:
Coordinates overall logistical details for APTA NEXT and CSM Conferences, including space assignments, database management, and special event planning.
Primary contact for Housing vendor; Manage housing management process for CSM, negotiate hotel contracts;
Primary contact with the logistic database vendor; coordinates process for all meeting specification reports
Onsite management and post conference activities.
Coordinates overall logistical details, including space assignments, database management, and special event planning.
Serves as liaison to designated Sections for the CSM and assists Sections with advance logistical planning
7-10 years' experience in meeting planning and management
Undergraduate degree or equivalent related experience
Strong contract negotiation and housing management skills
Strong computer/database experience required
Excellent communication, organization, and, interpersonal skills, including exemplary customer service
Ability to be mobile and work long hours.
Travel required up to 30% of the time.
