Transport Topics, the trucking industry’s leading source for news and information, has an immediate need for a Vice President of Sales to lead the operations of the Transport Topics advertising sales team.
This position is responsible for all print, digital, online, display, and classified advertising sales as well as the overall management of the sales department operations. This includes in consultation with the Vice President Business Operations and the EVP, and Publisher, the determining of all media rates and budgeted pages for all publications. The Vice President of Sales is responsible for setting and working with the sales staff to attain advertising goals and quotas and recruiting and training sales personnel. This position supervises the Regional Sales Managers, the Multimedia Sales Managers, Digital and Classified and both Sales Operations Managers. This position has budgetary responsibilities.

BEHAVIORAL EXPECTATIONS: All TT employees will interact with most, if not all of the other ATA departments. In addition, TT staff will be required to interact on varying levels with other industry and government agencies, vendors, suppliers, subscribers, and advertisers. The level and nature of this interaction will vary based on the nature and scope of each individual position. However, all TT staff is expected to interact in a professional, cooperative manner. Education/Relevant Experience- A bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in a field or fields related to marketing, economics, business management, science or engineering is preferred. Minimum eight years print + digital advertising sales experience at the national level.
Skill Requirements- The ideal candidate functions comfortably in the national advertising sales arena. He/she must demonstrate a proven track record of meeting goals for advertising sales revenue, sales expenses, advertising production expenses, increasing the number of advertisers and the schedules of those already advertising, for multiple print and digital media.
