Washington State University - Conference Management seeks to fill a Senior Conference Manager position who will work from their Puyallup, WA. office, located within 30 miles of Seattle, WA. Holding offices in Puyallup and Pullman, WSU Conference Management leads the region in event management, partnering with federal and state agencies, non-profits, and university colleagues to deliver exceptional event experiences for clients and attendees. WSU Conference Management is one of three departments within WSU’s Office of Professional Education. The Senior Conference Manager will report to the head of WSU Professional Education and will supervise three Conference Managers and the Puyallup-based event coordinator. The Senior Conference Manager will be responsible for the development of new programs and the strengthening of existing programs through knowledge of the constituencies served, the marketplace, and the content of the programs. The Senior Conference Manager will ensure implementation of these programs in the most efficient, cost effective, and professional manner. The Senior Conference Manager will lead the development and implementation of programs requiring many skills and the assumption of many responsibilities. Those responsibilities include contract negotiation, marketing, financial management, public relations, administrative and supervisory responsibilities, and organizational skills.
